UCalgary startup investigates heroes and villains of oil and gas microbiomes

UCalgary startup Geogenomics is a multi-disciplinary genomics laboratory who conducts microbial surveillance in oil and gas industry environments. Co-founders Carmen Li and Dr. Casey Hubert, PhD, share how they鈥檙e using innovative microbiology and DNA sequencing approaches in response to energy industry challenges and opportunities.
Casey Hubert is a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Campus Alberta Innovates Program Chair in Geomicrobiology.
