Professor Emeritus receives Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal
Professor Emeritus was celebrated for his significant contribution to the province though his long standing academic work in the areas of energy and resources law and policy, and his other community contributions with a on January 12, 2023.
Nigel was presented the medal by the Honourable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, on the nomination of Rachael Notley, ECA, MLA, leader of the opposition.
Created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II鈥檚 accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, the Queen Elizabeth II鈥檚 Platinum Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Alberta to honour Her Majesty鈥檚 service to Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II鈥檚 Platinum Jubilee Medal will be awarded to 7,000 Albertans throughout 2022 in recognition of significant contributions to the province.
The Platinum Jubilee Medal program is continuing as planned despite the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and will conclude on February 5, 2023.
